Because it was so good, I’m going to borrow from my wife’s email newsletter this week 😉 …
Did you know our worship is a powerful tool to reach the world for Jesus?
God directs His people to not simply just worship but to sing His praises “before the nations”. A worshiping church is a testimony to a listening and watching world.
In a culture filled with fake news, AI-generated images, deepfake technology, and Photoshop, everyone is searching for something real and true. This is where we can make an impact in the culture through our worship to God.
When non-believers witness genuine worship, they can be drawn to its authenticity. Worship can be a bridge that connects people to the gospel and can inspire them to seek a relationship with God.
There is power in our worship corporately. The atmosphere changes as we release our praise through music, and our voices declare the truth of God. We invite the Lord’s presence to come, and He inhabits—rests in, sits upon, dwells within—His people’s songs of worship and adoration.
I love the story in Acts 16:25-26, when Paul and Silas were in prison.
“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.”
WOW! That is a picture of what is happening in the spirit realm when the King of Kings is in the room and His people are worshiping in Spirit and in Truth. When He makes His manifest presence known, there is a fresh move of God and people experience healing, restoration, salvation, and freedom from bondage.
The world outside the church walls is listening and watching! Your cities and communities are listening and watching!
When we love God with all our heart and mind and soul, not out of religion, but out of relationship, His glory will be all over us. We will be so full that the overflow will spill out on others.
They may not initially know exactly what it is, but they will be drawn to it, and will experience the love and peace they aren’t getting out in the world. Their lives and old beliefs will be shaken (in a good way), their prison doors will open, and their chains will fall off.
Let’s make sure we are representing Jesus well and taking inventory of our own lives. Through our worship and expression of love to God, we can show a hurting world that there is A BETTER WAY!!!
Have a great week!

🗨️ Quote of the Week
“God directs his people not simply to worship but to sing his praises ‘before the nations.’ We are called not simply to communicate the gospel to nonbelievers; we must also intentionally celebrate the gospel before them.”
