Struggling with 2024? Where’s the Motivation?

Struggling with 2024? Where’s the Motivation?

Hope you’re doing well as we dive into 2024!

From our side, when I say “dive”, I really mean “slowly wade into” 2024.🏊‍♂️

My wife and I have not yet been very deliberate about our start to the new year—no goals, no vision board, and routines are a bit shaky.🫤

Our motivation has not been anywhere near where it should be.😕

The excitement I talked about last time quickly evaporated into the humdrum of just going through the motions.

BUT…💪

That’s going to change!

If we’re going to fulfill the call and purpose God has on our lives...it has to!

I’m being transparent, not to whine (because nobody wants to hear that), but to let you know that if you’re feeling this way

➡️ You’re not alone.

➡️ And we don’t have to stay here.

I want to encourage you (and myself) that we were made for more than just surviving and wading through life.

We were made to conquer and thrive in this life…to the glory of our good God!🙌

So, I leave you with the below Bible passage. Read it every day and let it motivate and embolden you to take hold of 2024 and…

Make it your best year yet!🌞

David

PS – Remember – God is good…and life should be too!

📖 Scripture of the Week

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:31-39 (NIV)
