As a Christian, you know that Jesus has set you free. But have you ever stopped to ask yourself…am I actually living in that freedom?
Galatians 5:1 says:
“Stand fast, therefore, in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”
The truth is, just because freedom is available doesn’t mean we’re walking in it.
Sometimes, without realizing it, we allow things to hold us back—habits, distractions, sin, unhealthy relationships, even how we spend our time.
Take a Moment to Reflect
Here are a few questions to check in with yourself:
- Are there habits keeping you from God’s best?
- Do you feel stuck in a cycle that’s hard to break?
- Are you weighed down by debt, stress, or obligations that limit your ability to say “yes” to what God calls you to?
- If God asked you to go somewhere or do something big, could you do it—physically, financially, or emotionally?
- How much time do you spend on social media, TV, or entertainment…and is it helping or hurting your walk with God?

The good news? You can be free (so don’t get discouraged).
Jesus already provided everything you need to break loose from whatever is holding you back.
But first, you have to recognize what’s keeping you stuck.
What’s the Next Step?
Take a few moments to ask God: Lord, where am I not walking in the freedom You’ve given me? And how can I change it?
The Holy Spirit is ready to guide you into that next level of freedom.
It might look like:
✅ Breaking off distractions that keep you from your purpose
✅ Setting boundaries that protect your time and focus
✅ Making practical changes in your daily habits
✅ Speaking God’s truth over your life daily
✅ Seeking wisdom & accountability. Sometimes, the right mentor, coach, or spiritual leader can help you see what’s holding you back and guide you toward breakthrough.
Freedom is Available—Step Into It
Freedom isn’t just a concept, it’s your inheritance in Christ. And the more you embrace it, the more you’ll step into the abundant life God designed for you.
