Something interesting happened recently at church that I wanted to share with you.

Because of my wife’s ministry, we get to visit different churches throughout the year. And since it’s the beginning of the year, I’ve been asking people one of my favorite questions

“What big goals do you have for this year?”

Of the three different people that I asked this question, all three gave me essentially the same answer…

“I’m not really a resolutions person.”

This surprised me.😲

(Even more so, because these were all people in some form of church leadership.)

My surprise was not in a bad way, but in a genuinely curious way.

So I’m wondering about you…

Do you set goals each year?

If you DON’T set goals:

  • What’s your thinking behind not setting goals?
  • What keeps you from being a “goals or resolutions person”?
  • What’s your level of interest in beginning the practice of setting goals?

If you DO set goals:

  • What difference does it make in how your year turns out?
  • How do you approach goal-setting?

Hit reply and let me know. I read every response, and I’m genuinely interested in hearing your perspective.

Thinking through these questions will be beneficial – you might realize something you hadn’t noticed before.

Have a super blessed week!
